About Minor Drama

Minor Drama was founded in 2021 by Forest Bond as a container for his creative work in the studio. As his studio craft progressed, he found areas for improvement in his workflow that led to expanding his work to include audio plugin development. Minor Drama now houses the majority of Forest’s work with music and sound—both creative and technical.

Forest is blessed to be joined by his esteemed partner and wife, Ariana Satchell, who, as an accomplished artist in her own right, provides all of the visual artwork & designs, whether for album covers, plugin user interfaces, or even the Minor Drama logo itself. She was here from the beginning and is quick to remind us.

Minor Drama is:

Ariana Satchell

Digital Designer

Ariana spent her childhood in South Florida developing an unusual aptitude for the visual arts (a gift she shared with her grandfather, renowned Jamaican painter Eric Smith). As an adolescent, she trained as a vocalist at a performing arts church, where she was selected as first soprano, and eventually earned a degree in Graphic Design. As an independent designer & entrepreneur, Ariana helped dozens of small businesses build their brand identities. She is passionate about living small & free, in 2019 abandoning convention to move into a 20 foot travel trailer, loves gardening, keeps a pet tarantula named Anansi, and is earning a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling.

Forest Bond

Engineer

Forest grew up in rural Vermont, where he took piano lessons as a child, and, thanks in large part to brushes with British electronic music & culture on the internet, began making music with computers as a teenager in the 90s. After earning a degree in electrical engineering, he pursued a career in software development, interspersed with various stints as a DJ, music producer, and club event promoter. From 2020 to 2024 he moved his studio into a motorhome and wandered, learning what he could from the deserts, mountains, forests, and waterways of North America. He continues to develop his studio craft while applying technical skills to “build thoughtful tools for creative engineers”.
